Which year was the NBL’s greatest rookie crop?

We spoke about it on our podcast with Damian Martin http://www.aussiehoopla.com/damian-martin-perth-wildcats-podcast-29

and put up an article on the Aussie Hoopla website last night http://www.aussiehoopla.com/nbl-greatest-rookies

but I'm keen to throw it out to the masses here,

Feeding off the great NBA doco the 1984 draft, which looks at the greatest class of rookies in NBA history, which year was the best crop of talent in the NBL?

1980, 1988, 1992, 1994 and 1995 had some amazing Boomers players and perhaps we may have missed one or two crops.

Let us know what you think and if you are that excited about it check out the podcast and the article

1990 had a decent crop with Justin Cass, Pat Reidy,Andrew Goodwin,Tony Ronaldson,David Close.
Liked the 1994 group.
Unlikely to see a crop like those with more NBA and Europe bound players

Any kid with a half a brian would pick going to high school/college in the US rather than playing in the NBL as a 18-19 year old rookie. Your development will stop there with the lack of competition to help improve your game.
