You offered two first year head coaches (at South) long term contracts?
You used the word 'employment' in your post also - in most employment scenarios there are annual reviews and briefings, is this the case with ABL coaches also?
Just because a team sits nicely on a ladder surely doesnt reflect solely on the coach, but at ABL level I am sure comittee members, presidents, vice presidents and/or senior reps attend BOTH trainings and games to gage how a team is travelling 'behind the scenes' and to observe exactly the practices of their coaches; how they are doing, what they are doing and why they are doing it. Or is a position on a ladder the only indication used to gage whether a coach is suitable for a particular team or not?
