Support at senior level from club juniors (Vic)

Just paying attention to what people are saying around the basketball circles lately, more and more I'm hearing that clubs that are "smaller" get more participation and more involvement from their juniors & to a lesser extent general community at games (attendance, making noise, dressing up etc)than these "bigger" clubs that are playing the higher levels - Now obviously SEABL will draw a bigger crowd than YL1W or YL2M but Refer to the following example:
Club A has 120 juniors and 10 go to the game but Club B has 40 juniors and 8 go to the game.. Club B are more involved with 1 in 5 juniors attending the game etc

Won't name clubs but one of the comments I've overheard recently was... "Even at Clubs A & B at SEABL or State Champ level, I haven't seen a whole club like Club C so passionate and 'family like'.. Its great, I've never been apart of something like this"

Is this a one off sort of club or has anyone else noticed this?

I'm interested to see if anyone else has heard the same or opposite or even witnessed two comparisons?

Knox has Shanahan coaching his kid in 14s - just like Mitchell. No where to be seen. Coaches are P'd off with him. Same with Baldwin on girls side.

Both are paid - they should not be coaching junior teams - coach the coaches!!!!

I can only speak for Casey, but our Junior club is absolutely fantastic, most weeks we would get 25% of our juniors from 12 - 16's at every home game with a fair majority making it to 50% of the games at home.

We have found that the players that coach end up with there team there simply to cheer them on.

It makes for a fantastic environment for the young kids to be a part of. And really builds a great support base at games.

In Geelong they pack the Arena when the SEABL team plays and then down the road the Big V Ch'ship team at the Life be in It centre also packs out their newly renovated stadium.

Locals love it and the kids who play in their thousands love it. Both clubs do their bit in the community and are building.

They just lack the capital and council support to get an NBL team, all the money goes to footy and the AFL.
