State Champs are here this weekend and judging by the lack of screaming, people seem happy with the draw. Are there any teams playing Forestville at Wayville at 8:30 am after a 9:45 game at Morphett Vale? Looking at the Forestville State teams, they are playing 13 of 30 minor round games at Wayville so you can't complain about a slanted draw.
If the results go by seeding, then it will be a interesting tournament. In the Boy's State, Sturt are well deserved ranked at #1. The U16B tussle will be absolutely fantastic with a GF Sturt-Centrals likely. Average rankings for the other clubs show an even comp with it getting down to the wire with a number of teams. While Sturt are tipped to get the flag for State Boys, the second and third placings a certainly anyone's at this stage. Sturt should not lock in that flag though as U14's and U16's could determine the final placings.
In the Girl's State, Forestville are ranked #1 with Mavs and Sturt not too far behind. The pressure is on them to maintain their crown. The disappointing thing about the Girl's State is that all 4 comps only have 9 teams. Would be nice to see the full ten teams compete. Perhaps BSA could engage Boko Haram on a recruitment drive?
