Winter season fixtures

Well, it is finally a joke

The BSA Competition Committee, Competition Manager and the BSA organisation should all hang their heads in shame!!

Winter season is the principal season for the sport.

We have a stop start season

We have school holidays

We have the NBL grand final series, which they had to support.

But seriously.......

A five round season draft draw......

No idea after last weeks round five games where Youth League and Seniors were playing.

A further 2 round draw released on Good Friday when some teams have one working day to arrange things is a joke.

If BSA thinks this is the way to run the sport, someone has to let them know enough is enough

Surely there is a system, a program ,or abacas out there that could get out 18 rounds for the Premier season of the sport at all levels.

People need a life, people need better from a very expensive sport

Agree fully for the cost of fee's, for the love of the GAME pay some fucking respect, poor programing, poor communications, poor community support, poor referee support, poor stadia support and finally - TF500's you tight arsed bastards.

Back in the day you had to wait for hardcopy and premisership tables were a guess. There was also less money around back then. Hell you precious toolbag just wait.

Back in the day is NOT relevant today thank god. Lots of parents are time poor and actually need to pre plan and prepare to negotiate things like childrens sport, a lot of parents work hours that may need to ask for shift changes etc. It's not like we are demanding much but are made to insignificant.

BSA seem to go with a theory of last minute everything. if it's due to a fear of releasing something and having to change it due to unforeseen - just do it people accept the unforeseen but not what we get now.

majority or reliable regular players and teams suffer due to half arsed players and teams bailing out after nominations.

if they don't rejig the draw - we would have double byes and go for weeks without games with post start withdrawls - unfortunate for the regulars but experience shows

They dont need to re-do the entire draw cause a single team pulls out. thats just plain ignorant.

The entire way they do it needs changing. They just use it as a money making venture with no real caer for the how the clubs nor teir members feel.

they are making sure you get a game - i would rather have it rescheduled after 5 rounds if a couple of teams are wobbly nominations or regraded - rather than get double byes or miss every few weeks with withdrawn byes

Then just re-draw those competitions.

The program's for Tuesday and Wednesday were out Thursday afternoon not Good Friday as originally posted. Maybe a initial 4 week program may have been better so teams would have been organised before Easter.
If Clubs got organised and didn't pull teams out then the complete program would come out. You have to redraw the comp as just putting two Byes together would lead to those teams playing 4 times while playing everyone else twice.
I have heard BSA had hands tied on the Spalding deal as every other State had signed on and Spalding said all or nothing.
