Jermaine Beal wins Grand Final MVP

The title says it all.

(Mod: Title was the bitter "At least ENNIS won't get MVP")

After sooking and chucking his all star 5 trophy in the river, yep I'll take something from the fact he's played poorly in game 2 and 3 and won't get any MVP awards...

Every Sixers fan prayed for a win but didn't expect it and knew it, especially after the 2 on Teys. But we all prayed that Beal would win MVP. Happy for Damo, disappointed Matty Knight has joined the Flopper Brigade. Rest up Sixers, resign and we will follow as Proud supporters and members. Mal Cooper and NBL review the points system/Salary cap to allow the game to grow and not put smaller clubs at risk.... Be careful with the NBA it could backfire and keep Perth the only viable team as they are the only team with means. Fringe Benefits included.....And please review all games this season, look at refs calls, and look carefully at offenders who push beyond reasonable. Maybe encourage some players to take up AFL as that is what they seem to want to play...

What a terrible thread. He mightn't be the most likeable character in NBL history but he's not that bad!

Kinda sad how obsessed opposition fans are with James Ennis.

Beal is a well deserved winner. He is the real star in the Perth team. I guess that is why he is their highest paid player.

If he's not already signed up for next season, I would expect 8 coaches licking their lips and asking their owners how much in the cheque account

Yep, crap thread driven by jealousy and hate.

And all because a bloke is a showman, an entertainer and a damn fine basketballer.

I can't work some of you sore losers out sometimes.

If Ennis played for Townsville we would still have this thread. His attitude does not fit, he creates negative issues for others and gets away with no calls everyone else gets pulled on. The refs and Nbl also need to take some ownership on that too..Beal is humble and deserve accolades as he has a team game and a great impact for Perth. I would think most teams would gladly have him over Ennis anyday. . Perth is, likely the only team that would put up with Ennis though....They have plenty experience with his type of antics....and seem to embrace it.

good choice, deserved winner. happy for him.
couldn't careless for the show-pony titled in the topic thread. just don't give him the trophy otherwise he might throw it in the sea

I love Beal. Rarely tries to do too much, only imposes himself on the game when he is feeling it, and does lots of the little things too. Classy veteran.

Are Adelaide supporters' life goals so shallow that this is an achievement for them?

Sad....Perhaps thats why the Holden and Toyota left.

A little sad how obsessed some fans are with Ennis. I was at the post game function and he was grinning and slapping Beal on the back as he went up to speak about being MVP of the finals. Get over it

Hey just checked Beal's Twitter.

How cool is the 'making it rain in the arena' picture! Quality game night stuff from the Wildcats. Really cool

Poor Jimmy! He's had it so bad here in Oz, at least he can leave this horrible place now.

Hope Miami gets DA TRUTH about Ennis and wipes him. I don't want to see 'Stephenson' type behaviour on the Heat roster..... That's not their style…. He's trouble Spolstra… You don't need that attitude. You have a brand based on integrity.

It's absolutely disgraceful that Ennis didn't win the season MVP. No disrespect to Rotnei Clarke but Ennis is a much more influential player. It's understandable why Ennis is disillusioned with the NBL but at least he won a championship. I can't comment on his personality but basketball wise he's a star.

There are arguments in favour of Ennis winning MVP, but that isn't one of them.

2FAST4U you are one of teh only guys on this thead who has a clue.

Ennis is a two way player who can influence the outcome of a game on both end of the floor.

Ennis best player on the best team in the competetion.

Rotnei Clarke arguable the best player on a ball club playing below 500 ball

Beal will either re-sign with Perth or will go to Europe or China. Taipans have a lot of interest as well.
