Nobody is in the mood today to make fun of Anon #468609 spelling it "sauce" instead of "sauce"...okay fair enough.
Very good news about the 8,127 tickets sold, it's good hopefully making a nice tidy profit for the night for the club and it's good for what should hopefully be an amazing and almost unprecedented atmosphere to experience. I've got my tickets and i'm keen!
Extra standing and restricted view... so they've "squeezed" more patrons in.

Nah, it was a fair call - This is too good of an event to be derailed.
It's great to see a sold out event, no Crows playing in Adelaide on the weekend to compete and no basketball games/trainings to compete with either, or any work the next day. If I remember correctly, there are 7,800 seats (or is it capacity?), so that leaves 327 for Standing Room/Corp Boxes (if not included in Seats).
Hopefully we will see a sea of blue, some really good media build up and a 36ers win!
Hope the fire department doesnt shut them down for too many people lol

Glad the tickets got sold... eventually.
Last crowd this size was Brett's farewell.
Now how to get people there every week, not just one game each decade.
KET - I believe sauce was intentional ;)

how many would have they sold if there had been a bigger venue ?
Whoops just checked Our Guide it's on at 7pm now on One here in Adelaide.
The Sunday Mail TV guide said 9:30pm and earlier today the online guide said 9pm but 7pm it is, I assume that's live?

KET, "sauce" is pretty common and intentional on sports forums in that context.

Hope the refs give the Wildcats a bit more of a fair go in Game 2. They were obviously so concerned about being seen to be influenced by the crowd that a lot of soft calls went Adelaide's way. If they even the register up a bit in Game 2, Wildcats should come away with the W.

Great Job Adelaide! It's live across the country on one and I can't wait to watch this over the footy!

I thought the record attendance at the AA was 8,200 set in Brett Maher's last home game.
Either way, if its a sell out thats good. We should see more of it.

"Hope the refs give the Wildcats a bit more of a fair go in Game 2." Do you mean more of a fair go than the Cats' 47 times at the free throw line to the 36ers' 13?

NBL Referee manager Mal Cooper has conceded Adelaide was on the wrong end of a few calls and hard done by.
Well no sh*t sherlock.

What did Mal say?
I heard him say the discrepancy wasn't apparent watching the game and he was going to review the tape.
Has he followed up these comments?

9300 odd was the record attendance going back many years ago. reckon it might have been a netball game
I was talking to my best mate who is a Fireman and he said they are still waiting on the evacuation report to be signed off on, and he is not confident it will pass.

I believe the Wildcats Dancers surrounded the Fire Chief's office and danced provocatively until he agreed to turn down the request
@Maxymoo
Funniest post I've read on here all season long.
Good job, good effort.

If NBL Referee manager Mal Cooper finds that some calls went against the 36ers, what do they plan to do about it. It was a grand final game that could have gone the other way and with Adelaide hosting game 2 tomorrow night, it could have been a clean sweep and a championship in front of Adelaide home crowd. Will they just sweep it under the carpet and say shit happens. Doesn't matter how hard you work throughout the season to get to that position, it only takes the refs to destroy it all.

Ummmm ladies - what did Mal actually say?
I've not seen any comments that match the outrage here.
Put up or shut up folks

nailna3, the 9,300 netball crowd you're talking about is probably the 2010 ANZ Grand Final at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
The Adelaide Arena in its current form can't hold 9k, let alone 9,300.
