Caporn named Associate Coach at CoE/AIS
Former NBL player Adam Caporn has been named Associate Coach of the Basketball Australia National Centre of Excellence (CoE) men's program.
Caporn joins the CoE after serving as an Assistant Coach for US collegiate program, the Saint Mary’s Gaels, where he worked with current Australian Boomers star Matthew Dellavedova.
Excited by the opportunity to return to Australia, Caporn said he was looking forward to the opportunity to work with the next generation of talent coming through the ranks.
"I am excited and honoured to be joining Basketball Australia and the CoE," Caporn said.
“The CoE/AIS has always been a very special program to me and I am proud to be working with Andrej (Lemanis - Australian Boomers Head Coach), the CoE staff and athletes to contribute to its rich history and tradition.
“I don't believe there is any greater honour as an athlete or a coach than serving and representing one's country and I am very thankful to Andrej and Basketball Australia for the opportunity.”
