Adelaide Arena and accommodation

Hey sixers fans,
Firstly, congrats on making the grand final! Looking forward to friendly rivalry rather than some of the crap seen on these boards and oz hoops.
Anyway, I'm wanting to make trip over for the game but would like to ask how far Arena is from city centre, and if a distance away- is there any ideas of accommodation near stadium. Having not been to Adelaide before, I don't have a clue. Will google it but thought some Adelaide faithful could help me out.
Cheers

10 min taxi (15-20 min peak hr) drive from CBD - stay in city / north adelaide - where other activities are bars / cafes / museum / casino / art gallery / night clubs - stadium in the suburbs

The Arena is in a bit of a crappy area, with no real hotels anywhere nearby, but as the previous guy said, its not a long trip from town by cab.

If you've never been here then I'd stay in the city. If you are interested in it the best stuff touristy wise the is at the North end of the CBD, or an hours drive out of Adelaide, lol. Plenty of bars and good food around there too.

Also, does Adelaide do the member pre-sale first then public? Has there been any details from club when they go on sale?

Thinks teams stay on Hindley? It's pretty much straight down Port Road from there. Plus, you're in the city center. Too easy.

Agreed, I hate the Tigers but loved seeing those ugly yellow jerseys walking around the Arena lastnight. So good for the building up of the league. Hopefully get some 'Cats fans over, actually helps our crowd get loud ive found over the years, thi will be a closer GF than many think, dont underestimate either teams strengths.
