Got him for $1m, backing up Hibbert and working with West and Scola. That's a solid frontcourt. Also, as the ESPN article notes, it keeps Miami from grabbing him, which has to be worth a bit, even though they have Oden to find time for as it is.

They signed him without doing a medical, which just shows they arent going to be too fussed if it doesnt work out.

Oden doesn't even enter the game against the top teams (didn't log minutes against Pacers (2 games), OKC, GS, Portland)

Love how key Pacer players havent been afraid to show they are cautious of Bynum's attitude. Once a star no one could talk badly of publicly, now he's a lacky.
Pacers have stashed Bynum so the Heat can't sign him. Nice tactic.
Agreed, stuff the medical this was purely to stop him from signing with the Heat. Huge defensive acquisition for mine which will pay dividends come ECF time (regardless if Bynum gets on the court or not).

It will be interesting to see if Bynum got a wakeup call from getting cut by the Bulls.
Hopefully he will start acting like a professional and provide useful input for the Pacers and not be a distraction that disrupts the teams chemistry.

Bynum has always failed when he has been expected to be "the guy". Whenever he is the sub-plot though, he has in the past managed to force himself into the spotlight. I'll be very interested to see how he goes.
