Yeah, he'll have company from other NBL players, a handy little off-season practice and money-spinner. Redhage and Lisch won the title over there this past season, I believe.

Heard average imports make like $100k for just over 3 months work.
Not bad if it is right/close to right.
Leon Powe, former Celtic, went there in 2012 and ESPN reported a pre-tax salary of $200,000 - $250,000.
Puerto Rico is a beautiful country as well.
In many ways, I think PR and the NBL are very similar. Not talking about level of play. But in terms of English-speaking, beaches and nice weather, no. of reg season games (30 odd), not Euro-level pay but in both leagues modest pay given the length of season.
It is the closest thing to being at home in the USA and earning reasonable coin outside of the NBA since PR is an external territory of the union.
