Yeah but how little do they know about players in Australia? they don't know how someone like him would compete in their competition... rank right now doesnt matter lets look at it after a few college seasons. UCLA wouldnt pick up a dud.

SCOUTING REPORT
ESPN Analyst
Updated 12/10/2013
Strengths:
Came over from Australia With a long thin at frame with a high level of skill. With a Kevin Durant type body and skills at a similar stage. His passing ability is impressive as Bolden has excellent vision to see and make any pass. Offensively he is effective in beating defenders off the bounce and is even better at making mid and three point shots. He is ideal is pick an pop situations or at the top of the key playing the high/low game. Rebounds more with length than strength and desire. Defensively his wing span and anticipation get him deflections, steals and block shots.
Weaknesses:
Painfully thin and it affects him as he gets closer to the basket in traffic as he easily gets pushed off his spot and isn't great at taking contact. Strength will enhance his low post game both offensively and defensively. He should develop a mid or low post game to compliment his face up talent. A gifted player with versatility he need to get acclimated to the physicality of the game here in the states.
Bottom Line:
His ceiling is what get you excited but the bigger question lies in his lack of toughness. His demeanor as to whether or not he will be more vocal and aggressive will be a telling sign if he is going to fully develop his gifts. Plenty to work with from an athletic standpoint and even more from an overall skill to size ratio. His dad Bruce was a great player at Boise State as well as professionally in Australia.

Great choice IMO. A program in the rebuild and a chance to shine.
Well done Jonah!

Man I used to watch Jonah shooting around with Bruce as a little kid for hours on end.
Really happy to see those tireless hours in the Gym have payed of good luck lil' man/ Well not so lil' anymore.
Bruce Bolden was not "painfully thin"!
So at least he has the DNA to put on muscle...
