Time zones midnight on eastern seaboard of USA may be 7pm in California. There is at least 5 games tonight as they have a tip off Marathon. Some of these games are at odd times - so TV coverage can go from game to game in a continued coverage.

Midnight madness is something completely different, its just a 24 hour college hoops tip off marathon.

Yep,

and they still sell out the games/get decent crowds.

The college student fan base is unbelievable.

St. Mary's throttled Akron in the middle of the night their time. Post Delly life seems to be OK. Dane Pineau and Matt Hodgson both played good minutes and they still have the Aussie flag flying.

Interesting to note the change in their rules and philosophy towards cleaning up the game, not dissimilar to what we are doing here in the NBL...

If it is midnight on east coast then it is three hours behind on the west coast (like Australia) but also they usually have a Hawaii team play at home because that is a further five hours behind. So that creates a lot of flexibility.

College Basketball knows how to sell the product look at any colleges twitter and facebook accounts. I just read on an other post Adelaide lighting have not posted anything for over a week in one case has not posted since last month. to say oh they have east coast and west coast is just an excuse, so do we. instead of asking why why not say why not ?

Agreed with the above. Australia has dynamics like the US yet don't utitlise them. We have copied their franchise system but from there done nothing further and wonder why the game isn't popular. You even hear of NBL execs going on trips to the States yet come back and everything is still the same. Too laid back here "she'll be right" mentality sadly.
