Dellavedova's bigger role with Jack out
ESPN Insider Write Up (Sorry if it's already been posted):
Heading into training camp and the preseason Matthew Dellavedova was third on the point guard depth chart and for at least the next 10 days he moves into the main backup role with Jarrett Jack out with a sore left knee.
Dellavedova has $100,000 worth of salary protection which made him him a lock to make the regular season roster and also what he brings while he's on the floor. Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon-Journal writes: "(He) has an inside track on one of the Cavs' last two roster spots because of his competitiveness, his knowledge of the game and his incredible ability to squeeze a tremendous amount of production out of an ordinary frame."
Dellavedova has a very good chance to get plenty of minutes during his rookie season as Kyrie Irving is injury-prone and Jack could have health issues, if the knee doesn't completely heal.
