Absolutely, congrats to all who made it! It's a top effort to represent your country!!

I will however say the following, from the u17 team that went to the worlds in Amsterdam, the following were bottom agers and are eligible to be a part of this group as top agers, injury is a major factor in some of their non selection I believe;

Annie Blackburn
Danni Pearce
Alicia Froling
Keely Froling
Alana Smith

And then there is Tahlia Tupea who was a part of the u19 world champs this year.

I believe they will take 12 to the world champs which will create 2 more roster spots as well.

They possibly are, but does that clash with the Pacific games?

Is it just me or is the means team missing the 5 best players in the age group? Bolden, McVeigh etc..

Congrats to them all. Can't believe that they are going to have to PAY $900 to represent their country. What is going on with the funding ?

Bolden is in the US. I'm guessing Mcveigh is injured or something.

Ben Simmons is of this age group as well. Not sure why players have to pay, although it looks like most of it is being covered there is obviously a gap in the funding somewhere?

NZ teams all pay their own.

Albert Schweitzer Tournament Cost for NZ players = $8k

Aussie State Champs = $3k

Any other tour outside of NZ = At least $3k

Even if you get invited to national camps...pay your own transport (Expensive domestic flights, + 10 hour bus rides), and then you have to pay a little more to the Association to sleep in tents and have budget meals.

I don't really care if NZ teams pay their own. We should not require our Aus reps to pay. Bulleen Boomers will be paying for it's Australian rep, Brodie Theodore. Congratulations Brodie.
