Melbourne Boomers and Jayco Australian Opals star Tess Madgen produced two memorable performances to earn WNBL Player of the Week honours for Round Two.

The 23-year-old guard was at her free-scoring best, inspiring the Boomers to a 62-57 win over the Logan Thunder on Saturday afternoon on the back of a career-high 34 points.

With her team trailing by as many as 15 points early in the final period, Madgen inspired a remarkable comeback, scoring 18 points fourth-quarter points to secure the victory.

This was followed up less than 24 hours later in Townsville, with Madgen dropping a game-high 24 points and seven rebounds as Melbourne upset the Fire 67-63 on Sunday.
