17 million!! Wow. Im no expert but id think u can get a descent complex for that. Well done norwwod. The norths, wests, woodvilles, centrals, norwood all seem to be slipping while clubs in the sth are strong. Flames seem to have the pieces in place but not stadium. Hopefully this helps them in a big way. Well done to the flames.

436420-- I think that perhaps you should talk to BSA as to why West are "slipping".
Do you think West enjoy being tied by a long-term lease that BSA negotiated with Port Council.
How much money have Norwood put into this new venture?
Perhaps just a progressive council and government area which is not a Labor stronghold

1000 members. Is that poetic license or are they that large

Maybe propaganda to show the importance of this needed facility

the community centre model is the way to IMO - top quality courts - but you get the whole training facility - pool, gym, squash courts - something the whole community can use and in turn be around basketball more.

look how good starplex is and how centrals have been on the up lately - sure it takes the right people but quality equipment and environs help

creates jobs, community facility, helps tackle our waistline epidemic we hear about, something to be proud of, tourism income with the norwood tourney.

i am far happier with this than all that money on adelaide oval.

now to get a few more councils, communities on board and get a few other ones updated. ( I am sure it's a lot more complicated than just this idea though)

wow. the push to upgrade St Bernard's was going on well before I started playing at Norwood in 94/95. congratulations to the club for seeing it through - hope the funding is 100% confirmed, comes through, and they get the complex they deserve!
