276, I think you need to be more specific rather than present hearsay to the Supreme Court of Hoops. You can't just say "From what I hear Norwood is in all sorts of trouble at the moment." It comes across like sour grapes and/or trolling.

For example,
* Their treasurer syphoned their money and are now using their U10 players to pilfer houses of rich Sturt parents to recoup.
* The Committee were committed to Glenside and are now seeking another committee.
* Lots of kids have left their programme
* Kids left because Coach X screamed at them in the carpark
* They can't find enough coaches
* They can't find enough training venues
* Coach X has been arrested on charges of . . .
* The club was just a front for the Hells Angels


Unless you can present facts, some of the low IQ punters will immediately jump to the conclusion you are a parent with a talentless kid who was dropped a division. It's the stock standard conclusion on Hoops when people complain.

If they ARE in trouble, we welcome your insight through examples.

I guess the rest of the teams in lower divisions are irrelevant!!!! Many clubs have talent in these divisions but 1/2 Div full and talent develops at different rates. And if they are local choose to stay rather than travel out of their area or have siblings at the club too. Before many rant and rave put some perspective on what these divisions bring to a club. All who make finals deserve the same respect as higher divisions. We all watch stars in NBL, Europe, Boomers, Opals and even NBA who come from these lower divisions and with some clubs filling all levels they can be the bread and butter income. A club should be measured on a balance of success across all levels.. Just Saying.....

621, interesting comment on Eastern. Just looking at the boys div 1 and div 2 U12 to U18. In Div 1 Eastern are right up there. Ave ladder position of 4.75 and 54% win rate at 97% score. Ranked 2nd behind Sturt on ave ladder position. Div 2, average ladder position of 9 (ranking 10th) and a win % of 22% and 62% score. Massive gap between Div 1 and Div 2 performance. I would be interested in people's take on it.

Sturt obviously the powerhouse and I think a club should be happy with an average win % between 40 to 60%. Forestville significantly stronger in D2 indicates some players could get a Div 1 gig elsewhere. West also with a big gap between Div 1 and Div 2.

I think Div 1 games should be at the Arena. Roll out a stand and play on 2 courts like State Champs Finals.

But then would you have people complaining about Div 2 Sturt teams getting home court advantage?

And where do you play them that doesn't give someone a home court advantage?
