Preseason games tonight and tomorrow night up in Cairns. Taipans have their full team signed while Hawks still have players to sign.
Interested to see how Taipans new import goes if he plays.

Apparently McCamey isn't suiting up. Can anyone else confirm that?

No Visa for McCamey so won't suit up and Wilson also out resting a sore leg.

Cairns win 87-72, Tragardh with 26 & 7. He'd be pleased to finally put some hurt on the Hawks, even if in a praccy.

Is that the first time Tregardagdh has had a good game against Hawks?

Clarke looks to have had a nice 2nd half after having a first half donut.

Final Score: Hawks 64 - Taipans 86

The understrength Hawks leave Cairns empty handed with the Taipans heading to Sydney for the final two games of the Pre Season Blitz with 7 points to its name.

A couple of Oscar Forman triples cut it to 70-58 at the 6-minute mark of the final term, Dave Gruber followed with a bucket and bonus free throw 90 seconds later to bring in under double figures 70-61.

Cairns then opened the floodgates turning Hawks turnovers and misses into quick points at the other end to finish the game on a 16-3 run.

Captain Oscar Forman top scored with 14 points, Dave Gruber had 13 points and 3 rebounds, Larry Davidson pulled in 10 boards to go with 7 points.

After a cold start Tim Coenraad finished with 10 points and 6 rebounds.

Rotnei Clarke had 6 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

Cairns were paced by Stephen Weigh's 21 points, he chipped in 6 assists and 4 rebounds.

Cam Tragardh backed up last nights game high with 16 & 7, whilst 2nd year players Cam Gliddon & Clint Steindl had 14 each for the home team.
