Brisbane NBL team Update

A few days ago there was an article in the Brisbane newspaper that says that even if new investors can't be found for the team the New NBL will fund it themselves. They said that they have raised 3 million dollars, enough to fund a new Brisbane team.

Sorry if this news isn't new to you.

@NBl Fan - anything else of interested mentioned?

Where would $3mill come from? That's a fair wad of supposed cash from outside parties to be giving to someone else.

That said, would love nothing more than a team back in Brisbane. Just a bit dubious as to all these releases claiming Brisbane is a lock to return.

"We've raised enough capital with the new ownership group to get the one team up" -Steve Dunn
He also said once the de-meger was completed setting up a new team would be simpler and more cost effective.
They have been inspired by the Western Sydney Wanderers
Plan for a new Brisbane team will be unveiled by the end of the year.

There was a small picture of Leroy Loggins on the back page of the paper and that is great because at least we know we will get a bit of newspaper coverage in Brissie.
