Wildcats to sign Drake U'u

Cats expected to announce Drake U'u as a replacement for Mou.
He is American but has a Australian mother and can play as a Aussie. So he will only take up 3 points and leave 10 for second import who is set to be announced with in 2 weeks.

In the name (curator) of all that is good and right in this world, this man needs to play for Drake U.

I believe he is only trialling with the Wildcats at this stage.

(I know this is simplistic but...)

Is he good?

Has anyone seen him play?

From the youtube highlights he looks OK..

Good for 3 points, not so much for 10.

3pts, I'm okay with that. When I saw some of the talk of him being the 2nd import (10pt) I was thinking surely not...

Nathan, you mean you don't want a guy who won a "media darling" award chewing up 10 points?

The coveted-yet-non-existent NBL Media Darling award would be surely beckoning, and yet it somehow just wouldn't sit right with me.

saw drake training today with the cats, i'd eat my shoe if he's 6'5 more like 6'2, super stocky as well, not sure if he's a 1 or a 2, probably one of those tweener players who cant shoot the ball well enough to be a 2 guard but doesnt have the temperament to run a team either i could be wrong though

The guys either side of him in this picture are supposed to be 6'1 (#13) and 6'0 (#24) so I'd say 6'3 at best.

Saw a fun comment in an interview with an ANZC player who confessed that whereas male athletes add a couple inches to their published height, she and other female athletes had a tendency to take one or two away.

It's pretty standard you take an inch or two off US heights in particular. Stephen Dennis for the Tigers is 6'4 but listed as 6'6 in the States.

Are NBL heights also exaggerated?

Not really. They've always seemed pretty accurate to me.
