With the Adidas Nations being held in LA next week I was just wanting to know if anyone knows who is in the Australian teams. Noticed nothing has been posted on basketball Australia yet about team selections!

Team would have just got off the plane in L.A. so once they get into their first game I would think BA will be posting something.

Does anyone have a link to watch them online? Do they stream these games?

Just an awesome experience for the boys, young as they are they will love every minute of it for sure.

Kind of shows us how global this game is when you look at the Nike tours, this Adidas one and the way hoops is recognised on the world stage, like soccer, the two true world games...

Look for Thon Maker playing in the US team also. Ben Simmons had been playing in the previous Adidas Camps this year but might be tied up with Boomers.

I believe Ben Simmons is playing with one of the US teams Daneo, purely because he is now based over there for high school.

Vart, I believe on another thread it was confirmed he is on Boomer duties, not in L.A.

The boys did their fitness testing today and the tweeter feed on the web site says the team rosters will be posted tomorrow.

Games should also start by then.

Aussies shot 55% from field, 56% from 3p, won rebound count 37-21 but coughed up 20 turnovers to 11.

Jail Okafor a 6'11" centre from Chicago, nephew of NBA star is a beast and will probably dominate most teams. Was a tough game first up for the Aussie bos, one they will learn from no doubt.

Isaac Humphries apparently got the forst dunk of the tournament. Quite a dunk feast I would imagine.

Okafor is better known as the MVP of U17 Worlds and was named in the All-Tournament team of the U19 Worlds recently. Also Winslow who played today was named in the All-Tournament team of the U17 Worlds - I would say a mighty effort from our boys, especially considering that there are only 3 17 year olds on our team (might be wrong, not sure about Pinder - he could be 18).

Thon Maker was supposed to be on this US team, at least it was on the list before the tournament.

Seems that the live stats do not really show what is happening on the court - Isaac's dunk was the first play of the game?!?

Great full to have some form of live stats, certainly the quality of the product is less than want we see here but nice to be able to follow the boys regardless.

Tough looses to USA Blue and a talented African team today. Turnovers appear to be quite high at the moment, but a great experience for some young guns.

Its interesting to see Pinder doing well in the last two games when he got hardly any time at the world champs.

Turnovers are a big problem and missed shots in their second (usa) game.

but there are three guys born in 1998, four in 1997, two 1996, not sure but this would have to be the youngest team by far. its also not an AIS team (thats been together for a while) with only four guys currently attending.

if they can take the nucleus of this team (Humphries, clark, Vasiljevic) next year with Perry, the whites, they will do great...

Hopefully this will help Mcviegh, bolden and Pinder to get very good colleges interested in them, although bolden shouldn't need any help with a year at Findlay Prep coming up.

to sum it all up I will use words of one of the players on this team (FB buddy) - "we are just bloody too skinny" :)

More on Bolden from

http://247sports.com/Article/Malik-Newman-Jonah-Bolden-Emmanuel-Mudiay-at-adidas-Nations-142125

Jonah Bolden
Amongst a throng of top American talent, Australian forward Jonah Bolden has been one of the top standouts at adidas Nations.
A 6-8 combo forward with athleticism, length and a great feel for the game, Bolden will attend Henderson (Nev.) Finday Prep next year. As of now, his plan is to reclassify up from the 2015 class into the 2014 class.
Bolden will be highly, highly recruited once he begins playing in the United States. Schools are already pursuing Bolden, but he has been uninvolved in his recruitment to this point with his father handling all the dialogue with coaches.
Bolden told 247Sports that the only school that he was aware of recruiting him is Arizona.

Great article...

referred to as - 'Sudanese/Australian teen's' which is good

also didn't know - Not only did Smith add Maker to his family, but he added Thon’s younger brother, Matur, who is 6-foot-10 and entering Grade 9.

Matur Maker!

The boys outplayed Asia (Philipines) as expected and ended their tournament with a one point loss to Latin America after coming back from a 20 point deficit.

All in all a good effort with such a young team.

Bolden missed the last game too. Not sure why!
