Anthony with the brick dunk but comes back with the sweet three! NZ 53-40 at 3/4. Looks good, but those Chinese refs are fourth quarter specialists!!

...and some sloppy Kiwi defence allows Wang Zhizhi the layup on the buzzer and China win 63-62.

Tight game and, through a real dodgy stream, a bit to like about NZ. Some of these young guys can play, and Webster is going to be an absolute star.

Gotta feel for NZ this wouldve been a nice confidence booster... But I think they are actually doing pretty well all things considered, new team, most of which are rookies.. playing against the Chinese with Whang Zhi Zhi who have been together for a while... I think maybe they are punching above there weight?

We're certainly punching above our weight against China but you also have to remember that apart from Abercrombie our top talent is absent. It does show that we have a promising future though.

Yeah, only Vukona, Webster, Anthony and Abercrombie (who was playing in concrete shoes last night) are there from the main rotation. Possibly add Te Rangi to that but I think he might still be a small minutes player for now.

Webster had 19p again last night on 4/8 from deep. Vukona had 12 and Anthony 9 on 3/3 from long range. I'm putting in an early tip for Webster to win NBL MIP this season.

Since Webster spent time in china with gorj his game has improved greatly. Same thing happened with Vukona at the Dragons

That stint with Goorj got him in shape which has helped him a lot, but he was already showing a lot skill wise for the TBs before his suspension. If he stays on track he will be a star.
