Not a fiba sanctioned match so technically no.. Injury is the only thing stopping him from being selected for the USA team.
He does still have some PG's in front of him though.. Paul, D-will and a healthy Rose. Being a former Coach and playing 2 point guards on the court like in previous tournys can;t see Coach K not picking him.

The only possibility of him playing for Oz would be if for some strange reason he didn't make the 2016 USA Olympic team, then he might seriously consider the switch. I think that is a massive (MASSIVE!) longshot though, because in three years time Kyrie will likely be one of the top-5 players in the NBA.

Kyrie Irving playing for Australia was never gonna happen.
Does he even have an Aus passport/citizenship?!?! Just because he was born here doesn't give it to him automatically.

Played for US (juniors FIBA) so must play for US
If cleared by US and FIBA may play for country of birth if of benefit to the sport in that country

There is no chance he will play for us now, and probably wasn't ever a chance... He did a lot of shit talking when here though. I don't really care, cant lose something you never had.
