76ers planning to tank 13-14 season for Wiggins?

With the trade of All-star Jrue Holiday for the still injured Nerlens Noel and the signing if Brett Brown. It seems like the 76ers maybe tanking this season for chance to pick from next years loaded draft class.

No, he wouldn't command as much of a coaching salary of another coach say Doc Rivers.

Another stupid rumour. You're not guaranteed #1 pick even with worst record

From a Philly fan, I guess, but like it was mentioned, there's no guarantee to get #1 even if you finish with the worst record. They have two high draft picks this year and potentially two next year, so they are building through the draft. Not to mention the huge amount of cap space they will have for a pretty good free agent class next year.

Even if you don't get the no 1 pick you have every chance of getting something really good so I would assume there will be a tank battle next season.

Spot on rohant.

Players like the Harrisons, Marcus Smart, Randle and Jabari Parker.

Dare i say it those players are already better than the crop of lottery picks from this years draft.

Ballsy trade by the Sixers, giving up Holiday. Could look pretty good if Noel turns into a good player and they get a high pick from the Pelicans next year. If they could then somehow convince Bynum to sign and have him stay healthy, that'd be a pretty nice frontcourt. Bynum would do most of the scoring, while on the defensive end they would have awesome rim protection and rebounding, as well as a nice mobile PF in Noel to compensate for Bynum's lack of speed.

Is Bynum actually ready to play yet?

I'd say its a nice move by the Sixers. Tank your way to a good lottery selection, plus the Pelicans' certain lottery pick. Two lottery selections in one of the better drafts in recent times. Can't miss.

No way will they re-sign Bynum. This team is going to load up on young players that will likely struggle this year but could be very good down the road (very clever), and hope for one of not two very good players in next years draft. Bynum healthy (lol) would make them too good.

2 lottery picks in a great draft class next year could set them up in 5 years. By then Brooklyn and Boston could be lottery bound

Brown isn't the coach!!!!! He may be eventually, but he is not right now and it is still up for grabs.
