Liz Cambage is better than Luke Schenscher :)

Despite her silliness you'd expect Liz to get to at least no 3 on that list eventually.

I'd contend Harrower @ #2. Timms @ #3.

Realise this is an SA based thread but Erin is not in the top ten. Suzy Batkovic way too high at 4 and possibly not in the 10 either.

If it was smartest Australian basketball of all time then Harrower is #1, then daylight.

Rohant16, agree - eventually. For now, I just see a tall player taking advantage of her height without really having the skills to beat a competent defender.

I'm just gonna say it....Maher out.

Her legend has overstated her abilities.

Don't think Suzy could be ahead of Sporn or Fallon or maybe even Mikan or Brogan.

Don't forget Cheeseman, Nykiel, Pat Mickan, Sporn, Brogan...all should be considered. Erin Phillips hasn't played enough for Australia to be considered, also remember Alison Cook, karen Dalton, Shelley Gorman.

Great post but Sporn and Timms should be way higher on the list and Brogan, Dalton and Bevelaqua unlucky to miss out but they made every team they played for better

Jenny Whittle would be in the top 10. In her prime she would have been a good WNBA player. Maher, Phillips & Fallon Out, Whittle & Liz in.

Kathleen Macleod > Harrower.

Liz > everyone but L.Jackson & P.Taylor.

Including Batkovic on this list, however accurate it may be, depresses me.

IMO:
1. Jackson
2. Taylor
3. Timms
4. Brondello
5. Brogan
6. Fallon
7. Gorman
8. Cambage
9. Phillips
10. OHea

Looking at how players perofrmed at Home and OS
Can raise an arguement for Harrower as unlucky!

Brondello and Maher were great team players but individually I thought they weren't stars.

Anyone who saw Debbie Slimmon dominate the paint in the 80s and 90s will have her in the top 5. She was bigger, stronger, and faster than everyone on the court and downright mean.

I would say that Brondello is the best SG Australia has produced, so on that basis alone she deserves to be in the top 10. Maybe it's because much of her success was overseas that her profile here isn't as good as it could be. One of Australia's few WNBA All-Stars.

Maher not so much. Very good player, tough, successful and had a long career, but there are too many ahead of her to make my list.
