Too late for the Bullets to enter NBL?

The new season supposed to start in October and it now being virtually June. Is it too late for a Brisbane team to be announced and play in the 2013/2014 league?
For example when a team is going to enter the AFL it is announced 3 years before they enter. GC Suns and Giants were 3 years before. Cab it be announced 4 months before a season?

Absolutely too late. Even if they HAD their shit together it would be too late. But there is no bid. There is no Bullets franchise to enter the NBL.

Virtually June? It feels like August even though I know its metaphorically April.

The NBL really needs Brisbane in the league to be a success. It is a joke having so few teams in the league and is a very boring competition to watch at the moment. If one team goes under then the whole league will collapse. The NBL really does not exist if you live in South East Qld. That is a big market to ignore. The league should be doing everything it can to get a team back in this region. Lots of young kids playing ball up here with nothing to aspire to locally.
