Kings sign Brad Hill, to play some PF

Sydney have released this statement. Good for Brad, hopefully he will fit in a better system and be used for what he can actually do.

Also an exciting period for Cairns with spots opening up for some good talent.

I've never been quite convinced that Hill will be a big contributor on a championship team, but he is a bit of an X factor. Always seems like that guy who will give something different when a team is in a scoring rut.

Interesting to see Heal mention that he'll potentially play Hill (Heal, he'll, Hill) a bit at power forward. Taking Dann's role?

Hill is playing well for the Pioneers and deserves a continuing spot in any NBL side.

Perhaps Heal sees Hill as somewhat of an upgrade over Dann.

"Sydney Kings' Head Coach Shane Heal is happy to get a player of Brad’s calibre onboard."

Does this mean he thinks the rest of the players arent of calibre?

Can't shoot to save himself (unless he's playing the Crocs, then he's white hot), but he's one of the few guys in the league that can legitimately create his own looks.

So the kings looking like?

Crosswhite/Garlepp
Ogilvy/?
Import/Hill
Madgen/Harvey
Import/Daly

If they get the right imports and Ogilvy plays well, could be very good, 3 SA guys aswell, now the SA Kings?

Agree with that. Definitely an asset for a team in the right role.

Fearne keeps rejuvenating careers only to end up shunned - Danial Dillon was another one!

You reckon Hill was rejuvenated under Fearne?
Only increases over career stats was FT% and 1 extra rebound per game , everything else was lower than his career averages.

I wonder if Daniel Dillon will return to the league this year, and if so where do you think he would fit?

A good signing by the kings definate upgrade for there bench, could help steindl in cairns who as a 2nd year player could improve greatly this season.

"Rejuvenated" probably just means "away from the 36ers" and all the criticism associated with playing for them.

Unfortunately Hill never got near his potential. Not at all rejuvinated. He had enough time to produce something, but didn't. Time to cut the deadwood; neither pleased nor saddened.

Would be nice to see Weigh in that spot next season.

If there is a player in the NBL I'd love to see get more aggressive and drive to the rack then it is Brad Hill. I wonder if Heal will be encouraging an aggressive Hill or not.

Hopefully James Harvey stays injury free and we can see more Kings beating the Breakers like they should have several times last season and having Hill to back him could be great for them.

What does this mean for White?
