Australian star Exum talks Indiana, recruiting

Great Story about Dante Exum below.
Looks like Indiana is very keen on him.

Can't wait to see him play in the Nike game. Hard work and more hard work, he has a great work ethic to match his natural athleticism, size and skill set.

Good luck to him, let's see if the World team can beat the USA again, with Dante at the helm??

Bear is spot on, however I believe Andrew Wiggins would be 'at the helm' for the world team.

Whilst it is not directly related to Exum, it refers to Maker and Simmons...

2013 Jordan Brand Classic: International Prospects

On Simmons: Definitely a prospect with huge ceiling and potential, an NBA all star in the making, and the prospect with the greatest potential in the game.

On Maker: How well he can put strength on and retain his athleticism will be a crucial factor in determining just how effective a pro he can become.

Nike Hoop Summit posted the following on twitter yesterday:

Nike Hoop Summit ‏@nikehoopsummit 20h
"Dante Exum running the point and using his size and craftyness to get to the rack at will. Looks very comfortable using ball screens."

2 other Aussies got a mention at the 2013 Jordan Brand Classic as well:

Thon Maker & Ben Simmons

I read somewhere else (reputable) that Exum is being talked up as being the next best prospect after Wiggins at the Hoop Summit.

Are Simmons and Exum the most highly touted Aussie prospects of all time? I can't remember anyone ever getting this sort of wrap this early on in their "careers"...

It's ironic that the future of Australian basketball has never looked brighter while our own domestic league is at its knees.

They're certainly the most highly touted Aussie 'non-bigs' ever, that's for sure. Bogut may still have them covered. Whilst the coverage wasn't as wide spread in 2003 (wow, only 10 years ago...how times have changed) he was being touted as a potential number one pick after dominating the 2003 junior worlds on the way to Australia's gold medal.

Check his stats from the last three games of that tournament (all wins);

vs USA: 22 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists
vs Croatia: 39 points and 25 rebounds
vs Lithuania: 35 points and 14 rebounds
