Bevo is done with the NBL. Look for him to wind up overseas on a huge contract, win or lose the Grand Final.

It sounds great on paper but not a chance. He's heading overseas for sure to get the big contract he deserves. Can't see him leaving a on court and off court powerhouse to coach any struggling organizations. Boti used to publish quality now its more like reading a tabloid magazine when he writes.

I agree @Bg04

As a fan it's great to be positive but you also have to be realistic. Even if the rumour was slightly true could we actually afford him?

And sorry Boti but it's true :(

Boti is really trying hard to come up woth every possible coach to succeed.

I guess he will get it right some time. Just not even close this time.

Bevo and China has been talked about since Xmas.
Can't see how he could do Boomers and an overseas gig.
Maybe o/s is if the Boomers' job doesn't eventuate?

The Boomers coaching job is part-time. I doubt he could maintain the position adequately while overseas, but could surely continue coaching in the NBL. However, who knows if Basketball Australia agrees with me.

If OP is correct, Boti's really talking (writing) out his ass linking Bevo to the 36ers.

Says that Boomers' coaching job is full time, by the way, whcih has been reported several times previously (back to the Dr Adrian Hurley model)

The Boomers job was publicly advertised as part-time:

"The Boomers Head Coach will be offered as a part-time position, with potential for the right candidate to serve in a full-time role incorporating the role of Head Coach of the Men's Program at the Centre of Excellence."

Plenty more sources as well from a quick Google search.

It's full-time or part-time depending on whether the successful candidate wants the Centre of Excellence job as part of it.
