What is required for the Adelaide Lightning to take the next step & win a WNBL Championship in 2013/14? New Coach? New Players? New Offense? Less reliance on the Bat Girl? Thoughts People?
I think if you fix up the starting PG role we will go a long way to improving where we need to get to!

Coach is excellent. Team last 2 years has been good - probably another big scoring option - as Suzy has been shut down 2 finals campaigns in a row. Other clubs recruiting decent form wnba players has made them strongevthan us. Must keep batlovic Hodges Marino Mansfield - will Jo keep going? Keep Jen screen - Lewis x2 Payne seemed ok

Yes he has lead the Lightning very well in the regular season, his coaching performances in the the last 2 seasons in the finals have been nothing short of dismal. Surely the next step for Lightning to earn respect in the WNBL is to start winning in the finals, these are the games that matter the most?

Must replace Marino with someone that can pass, defend, doesn't dribble the air out of the ball and can find ways to get her shot off.

Yes, a point guard who has vision and can distribute the ball well would be a huge step forward, but they're a rare breed.
Must reduce the reliance on Batkovic. Might be a simple(?) matter of using Payne more. Certainly played some impressive games this year.
Hill is past it. Talbot looks the part. Molly Lewis might be able to play, but couldn't tell from this season.
Probably a genuine point guard and a 'pure shooter' with some size and athleticism away from greater success.
