Who should decide on the new 36ers coach

The last 2 appointments of Head Coach have not worked out so it would be fair to say the selection process was poor.Only 3 SOS owners remain and although it is their money I don't think they have the expertise and knowledge to choose the best candidate. That being said can we at least get a group of the right people with no emotional or agendas to select our next coach.Lindsay Gaze or Adrian Hurley would be a good start to have both would be brilliant get Wayne Jackson as well passionate SA man with huge knowledge.I would certainly support the decision these guys made who else should be on the selection panel or who do you trust to make the best call?

There was a selection panel last time. I think it included Jan Stirling.

Wayne Jackson? He has helped put SA basketball in the shambolic state it is in.

Never any certainties in selecetion. Most people thought last decision was a good one. 10 plus years
at AIS, assitant coach of boomers highly regarded in
basketball world. Absolute failure as coach. Biggest mistake was to continue after he proved he was not up to it.

I would have Boti on the panel. What harm could it do?

MPst people thought Clarke's appointment was a good one just shows you that most people got it wrong.
Clarek was never going to be able to do the job. He may have been the best credentialled to do it, but maybe if the selection panel had looked and sought expert opinions before appointing him, they would have heard he was not the best person for the position. The same will apply for this new appointment.

Don't care who the new coach is as long as there's a performance clause in their contract.

'maybe if the selection panel had looked and sought expert opinions'

maybe they couldve asked brett brown, who made him a boomers assistant.
