Sixers in NZ, May 20-22

David Cooper returned to the NZ NBL this weekend just past after some social business during the previous round. He had 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in a 35 point loss. He followed that up a day later with 20 points, 11 rebounds and 3 steals, but his team lost to Jacob Holmes' Giants, 74-87.

Holmes only played 16 minutes (unsure why?) but had 9 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in that time! Would've been a big chance at a TD at that rate.

Elsewhere that night, Dusty Rychart posted 16 points and 10 rebounds in 25 minutes for his team as they hammered the Nuggets, who feature Scott McGregor and Russell Hinder.

Rychart played again the following day, but no boxscore is available.

Any news on why Holmes started but played only 16 minutes? Injury? Any ex-housemates heard anything? They won by 13, but that might not have been enough to rest a key player?

As has been eluded to by the above post, Jacob hyper-extended his knee late in the first half. Obviously they sat him for the rest of the game and he has been getting nice and cold watching trainings since. He'll be around over the weekend but will return to NZ next week and be right to help the Giants make their run to the playoffs...
