Wildcats vs Hawks
Can the Hawks go 2-0 on the road? Tough ask.

Why oh why do the Cats keep blazing from three? We aren't good at it...
What's the record for lowest score in a half? Hawks had just 14 in the second half.
Crunch, what a second half display. Cats fought it to the last second, just what the doctor ordered.
Hawks were 7/11 from 3 in the first, 2/10 in the second iirc.
Carter starting to pick his performances up. Seems to be getting over the culture shock!
that was the lowest sore in a 2nd half in the NBL ever

Put the hammer down on those Hawks in the 2nd half. That was awesome.

It truly was an incredible display. If Perth hadnt fallen in love with the long bomb so much they could have won that by 40.

Wildcats match out-attended a ODI match played at the WACA at the same time as the bball.
11,509 at the Cats v 11,121 at the WACA ( for Australia v West Indies)
That must be the first time that has ever happened in the NBLs history where an NBL match got more people than an Australia One day international played in the same city at the same time.
Now if only that could happen in Sydney or Melbourne, the NBL would really be back in business and can't be ignored by Sunrise the next day haha!
skull, that's generally how every team wins- scores more than there opponent!!
Legends Game was great, good too see the old players again. A bit short though. The old Eagles players play a full game for their tribute matches but oh well still Crawford, Bruton and Ellis were awesome. Was Pinder there? I don't recall. I think Ricky Grace was. Such a legendary team in the day. How was that dancing in the audience ? LOL for thrust moves.

Hawks are pretty much done for the season, If the Tigers can't beat the Hawks in their upcoming 2 games then the Tigers don't deserve to be there and the Crocs might just sneak into the 4. That was totally pathetic from the Hawks, injuries or no injuries.
Terrible performance from the Hawks & highlights just how bad the 36ers must be to have lost to them on Friday night.
In the Hawks defence, its not like anyone else is running up many points at the Arena. It is a stunningly low scoring court.
That stage end in particular seems to have an anti-scoring hex on it as far as the Wildcats go.

Don't know if the cats played that good or the gong was that shit? After the performance against the breakers, it was good to get the w. Against adelaide fri nyt it's gona be hard! They are the only team 2 beat us at home so they can and prob will win against us!
Some odd facts, out of eight games at Perth Arena:
Only 4 scores above 80, all by Perth
No scores over 90.
4 scores below 60.
10 out of 16 scores below 70.
Average away score in Perth of 61.25 (490 total).
Average home score in Perth of 76.25 (610 total).
Highest combined game score is 153.
Lowest combined game score is 121.
(By comparison, in away games, that highest score was surpassed or equalled in 5 out of 11 away games, with 3W, 2L).
However, the lowest combined score in any NBL game this season was actually in Sydney, Round 6, Kings versus Hawks, 116 combined game score.

Perth live and die off the three way too much. Would like to see another big man recruited next year to help Matty Knight. Also sick of watching Redhage throwing up soft as floaters time and time again. Guys got the softest game in the league for a PF/SF.Take it to the rack hard for once!
dribbler i agree totally about the cats being inconsistent with their outside shooting. But i think they should try recruit a quality three man. Hire and tovey are not starting five standard but are good bench players at best. Maybe try luring worthington back to wa or even stevie weigh. Looks as though there could be a player overhaul at adelaide again. That should improve scoring potency

I'd like Dunigan back next year (release Trueman)
Have knight and Wagstaff playing PF/backup centre and if Redhage doesn't retire get him playing the Fisher role at SF and yes it would be shocking if Redhage took it hard to the basket.
I know they think highly of Tovey but 51 fouls, 23 points in 17 games (his last stats that I looked at) simply shouldn't get him a contract regardless of his defense.
Greg 4 Hire seems to be getting a cult following at the games and yes he may not be starting 5 quality but its good fun supporting an underdog and 7 points and 11 rebounds (I think he had against the hawks) in the current state of this league is a quality SF game this season. Blanchfield, Abercrombie, Weigh, Saville and Hill have had games this season better than that but he is doing more than the mega talented Liam Rush and he can't even get on court! So give Hire the chance he needs, the kid is blossoming... Would still be great to get Cam Gliddon to Perth next year

Yeah, replace Trueman with Dunigan, keep Hire, replace Tovey with Wortho or maybe Barlow, and replace the salary & points caps with mwuhahaha!
