If that was true they would have announced it, not used a re-active second-tier media outlet (as opposed to their website, which targets fans directly).

He was also on 5AA yesterday discussing his negotiations and spoke to Willie's agent after the story was released. Quoted that the story was a beat up for more money and that the 36ers have presented an offer to Willie and his agent there was some confusion about some components but they had been sorted. A timeframe of this weekend was proposed and if he had not agreed then the 36ers would be forced to persue another import.
