Forestville did not make top 4 but they did win summer season champinships, so they still might get to go, not sure though.

It's not a matter of "taking it any further". It is not against the rules what he did. It is however ethically wrong, which is what the whole thread devoted to this topic is about. Southern won the game and the State Champs, well done to them, they deserved it. The players deserve it. I don't know if the coaching staff do! The only way the coaching staff, in particular the head coach as he is responsible for anybody he has on his bench, can redeem themselves is to apologise and take steps to make sure this or any other incidents do not happen again! Unfortunately, after the equally unfortunate "Indians" episode 2 years ago it seems as though nothing has changed with this coach's teams.

They didn't cheat! The players do deserve it, but I am afraid they have been let down and had their win tarnished by the actions of their coaches.

Thankyou for the last post, I started the other thread as it was the fault of the coaches. And the previous post also stated that sturt wouldn't have gone on to win. I agree. The southern players were spectactular but the coaches were ethically wrong. By the way it is against the rules as coaches are not allowed to leave their box at any part of the game. Its just never enforced. Congrats to Southern players and poor effort by the coaches
