Can anyone list the heights of all the men's team, any seven footers? Looks like a very good year group to me!

Jock Perry & Isaac Humphries are the 2 bigs if I remember correctly from Nationals. They are both 6'10" or so. Abiola is a bigger kid too, African decent. Has really long arms.

Kyle Clark led the Nationals for most of the tournament in scoring, rebounding & 3pt% - he's a flat out gun! Prob 6'5" or so.

The 2 McDowell-White brothers are very athletic & exciting - them & Tom Wilson were rumored to have AFL scouts drooling over them already.

Morgan is a Forestville kid. Played the 2 spot at nationals in Tamworth as a first year. No doubt she can play, and her selection rewards the efforts she seems to have put in over the last 12 months. One of the most dedicated junior athletes who always seems to be doing extra sessions.

Looking forward to seeing both the men's and women's teams in action!

What position does Kyle Clark play? He is listed at 195cm, I wonder whether he will grow any taller?

What happened to the SA Girl that lead the scoring at Nationals she was a long ways ahead of her team mate based on the games I saw.

She was injured. Hurt her wrist in the Winter grand final and didn't attend the camp. Didn't play on Friday night either, but may apparently be ready for the game against Sturt this week.

Kyle Clark is a stretch 4 but mostly a 3. I'd say he will grow taller - he has huge potential.

Is it fair to say Clark is the best of the boys? I hear Humphries is pretty good too?

what is kind of wierd is that the girl that replaced the injured SA girl was not even in the original 25 person squad and ended up in the final team .... go figure.

Best thing about this team from the boy's perspective is that they are so even. Starting 5 will change to suit the opposition and match ups I would expect.

Many options and a very strong group with no weak links for mind. Look very much forward to watching them play...

Not sure about the girl's group as don't really know them well enough, but also looking forward to see how they perform as a team.

Have you ever seen Thon play against someone his own height. The kid struggles when he comes up against someone 6'9 6'10 because he has no weight to push around in the key!

The tournament kicked off last night, with both Aussie teams getting their campaigns underway with big wins.

The Aussie men defeated Gaum 84-46. Leading the way was William McDowell-White (QLD) with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. He was well supported by Kyle Clark (TAS) with 17 points and 6 rebounds, and Thomas Wilson (VIC) who had 7 points and 9 rebounds.

The Aussie women defeated Tahiti 105-24. Georgia Pineau (VIC) was the standout for the Aussies with 24 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists.

Tournament action continued last night with the two Aussie teams racking up another pair of big wins.

The Aussie men defeated Samoa 83 to 36. Leading the way for the Aussies was Abiola Akintola (VIC) with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

The Aussie women defeated New Caledonia 117 to 21. Georgia Pineau (VIC) had another great game with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Six other Aussies scored double figures, led by Danijela Milisc (NSW) with 21.

Interesting side note, the Aussie women defeated Tahiti 105-24 in their first game. Last night Tahiti defeated Samoa 94-27! Anyone want to predict how much we'll beat Samoa by?!?!?

If the girls take a lead from the boys game (for Samoa), the Aussie girls may be very sore afterwards.

Samoa boys took their frustrations out on our Aussie boys, very physical.

Maybe the rugby ball could have been brought out in that game?

Day three of tournament action saw the Aussie men taking on Tahiti and the Aussie women up against Samoa.

The men defeated Tahiti 87 to 55. The two McDowell-White (QLD) boys led the way with 15 points each.

The women destroyed Samoa to the ridiculous scoreline of 142 to 9. Yes, that's not a typo. Poor Samoa only managed to score nine points! Eight Aussie girls managed to score in double figures, again led by Georgia Pineau (VIC) with 20. Ella Hellessey (VIC) was the other standout with 14 points and 15 rebounds.

Well done to both Aussie teams, their coaching and support staff and everyone involved in getting the teams to where they are. NZ gave both teams some great contests, but the skill and talent of both our teams got them the gold.
