Australian referee Michael Aylen has been appointed umpire to the Men's Gold Medal Game. The highest honour for sports officials. Fantastic achievement by our country's best referee.

gr8 guy, great ref and the best aussie in the bball grandfinals. At least one achiever made it. Rather than so many other players with high expectations that can't and more than likely will never deliver.
Time for a clear out of the mens and womens at all levels.

So far over 100 points scored in under 16 minutes in a GF. Rough play, lots of free-throws. Would not be easy to officiate.

Well done to Aylen for being the only ref to not call that rubbish unsportsmanlike foul. The game remains a foul-fest.
