With the finals being determined what changes do the teams that missed out need to do to get back to the top?
Southern, west, south, woodville & Sturt
Any suggestions for improving the sides?
Sturt have juniors and will improve steadily, Souths have a reasonable coach but absolutely no players with no junior girls coming through or coaches in these areas to attract and grow cabl players for the future.
Wests like Sturt have mainly juniors and a very good coach so they should improve.Southern did not develop or do not develop and have a Hungarian mentality for recruiting poached eggs and face a bleaker outlook.
Woodville committed suicide by following the previous long term coach with a left field appointment. Whereas the previous coach had some coaching nous and wider understanding of how players function, the incumbent appears to have none. Woodville would seem to be in the most trouble when you add their lack of girl teams in most divisions and it's hard to see them continuing.
So , Sturt would feel they are headed in the right direction.
South need to spend a lot of money and get five players. Their junior program seems to be on the mend.
West's one tall short of being in the mix and a Corey away from invincibility.
Woodville need a junior girl's program and a shite full of 12,14 , 16 and 18 girls but they need a real CABL coach and a couple of talls just to be respectable.

Seen Southern twice this season and with the season on the line last night they were horrible. Couldn't stop the Fast Break and Shot Selection was awful. Looked to be too many individuals and I really think they were out coached as Southern coach didn't seem to change things up or call a Time Out in the 2nd when Centrals took the game away.
The other game I saw was against South and on that night South were so bad anything Southern did looked alright.
Needs to get a experienced Point Guard to run the team on the floor and the add some experienced role players to come off the bench to support the kids that if they continue to develop with be very good players.
Must keep Kinross, Nelson, Anderson, Ciabatonni, Fawcett
Maybe with some experienced players the Coach could stay but he did seem to lack passion is the season deciding game last night.
Maybe my observations are a bit harsh on the basis of two games but they seemed to lack a lot in a season ending game last night.
Hard to tell if the Assistant or the coach is running the show with the tigers girls, maybe that's the issue?
Maybe the fact is the tiger girls played out of their skins the first half of the season then ran out of puff in the last half
^ I'm not a big believer in the run out of steam at the end of the season, may be appropriate for some sport's but basketball is all year round, these players fitness levels are maintained based on the training regime and players recovery techniques. Psychologically it could be agreed that some teams or players suffer mental fatigue as the winter dominates etc but to run out of legs imo isn't their issue.
