sigh.... here we go.. MW
Let me try and explain:
a) Its funding, not money
b) Basketball is well funded, comparable to other sports, on core high performance funding - it remains one of the top 6-8 funded sports in Australia in this area
c) If you add all the funding for sport and related items then you might be able to argue a case that the AFL has done extremely well for funding, and the other sports are relatively poorly off, but that is probably the only argument you can make.
d) to do this for c), you have to add together money for high performance, for participation, for sponsorship, for venue reconstructions etc etc etc
e) however, even this is a little dodgy, as the SA government would argue the money it is putting into Adelaide oval for example is for more than just AFL...
So your case is hard to argue, because it is hard to prove.
What you can object to, is direct operational funding by the Government for professional sports in football - Western Sydney and the establishment of the W league. This is funding that has been consistently denied to other sports when they have asked.
Otherwise, there is hardly anything to back up your original premise.
