What happened to the Tigers

Just wondering what happened to the Southern Tigers mens team, they did so well last season and it looked like they were on the up, and just saw that they are on the bottom of the ladder, can someone give me some insight??

losing Matty Clarke to injury has really hurt them, he ran that team perfectly.

They weren't winning before they lost him.

they didnt have Hardiman the first two games and Clarke got injured in the third. Since he has gone down Snake has had to handle the Rock which throws them out a bit i think.

Agreed Tigers had Luke Hoban pencilled in for big numbers after he dominated summer league and the academy games. Unfortunately losing your starting PG, a star like Ingles and Hoban a non factor have hurt the Tigers a great deal.

Also although Hardiman is solid he is no Pochintesta (also struck down by season ending injury)

Maybe cut the Tigers some slack not many teams have lost 4 main cogs from last year.

Ingles - AIS
Clarke, Poke - Injury
Hoban - Not sure

I saw lots of Tigers games last season but haven't been able to get to them as much this year. I think it is pretty clear that they miss someone to run the team, both offensively and on D. I think Gerlach needs to share the ball around more. Last season he was great when moving off the ball and now without Clarke to run the point he is tied down. Hoban would have to be very dissapointed but it's not to late for him to turn it around. Unfortunately for the Tigers... It is too late.

Thanks for the insight guys, i guess the loss of pochitesa and ingles have taken more of a toll than i thought, those guys brought some good points production, just wondering what is the teams points average per game compared to last season??
