Kristina Keneally confirms NBL League Pass!

Some key points to the interview for those who are limited by time or internet usage.

•The NBL have bought back their digital rights.

•Next season they intend on having a "digital subscription". Kinda like NBA league pass.

•The league plan on showing every game via their digital subscription, including full commentary.

•Plans for the Boomers/Opals games to also be shown via digital subscription in the futre.

•The second Melbourne team was pulled due to funding. No other talks about a second Melbourne team mentioned.

•A national registeration for basketball, making it easier for NBL teams to market directly to local paticipants.

•Possible re-structure of NBL ownership. Moving away from privately owned teams?

The fact that she's been on the job for less than a week and basketball's future already looks better than it has been since the early 90s speaks volumes about exactly how incompetent and anachronistic the last few men with the top job have been.

These aren't major things: small-time, easily-achievable ideas that should have been implemented as default operational measures years ago.

Not just talking about the retention of digital rights.

A step away from the old boys club is a step in the right direction.

What price would you pay for a full season of league pass? I'd be happy with around 70 quid

Sounds great, as long as its a reliable service and the prices aren't out of this world I'll be signing up first chance I get.

If they actually want anyone to sign up you'd hope it's under $50.

Exactly, it's the communication, not some spiel from Sengstock & co. that has no facts and includes rubbish like, "by 2015 we hope to be the leader in sports entertainment in the entire Asia-Pacific region"....

You do realise BA still has that goal? That wasnt a Sengstock thing and this isnt a Kenneally thing. I think shell do well, but let's not give her credit for stuff that others have started.

That nonsense goal is the most disgusting piece of garbage I've ever heard come out of Australian basketball.

I don't think that kind of nonsense would have come out with Kinnealy as CEO, but it remains to be seen what effect she'll have in the long term.

People need to remind themselves that this move is not on KK and was finalised before she was appointed CEO. I'll begin to judge her on the management of BA in the coming months once she has had ample time to put her stamp on the organisation.

ur right mick. they communicate bs when they want to sound high and mighty and using verbal bs that cant even be measured in its success - no wonder they use lofty language. when its required or responsible for them to communicate, they close up shop like a zombie plague is coming up over the hill. nbl uses communication and non communication at all the wrong times. its all backwards.
