Maybe it's good that the real Greek team didn't come to Australia..........

Don't think you can read too much into that Jack, the NZ team is fairly poor. I imagine we would beat them by about the same margin.

NZ's best player in that series was a 17 year old Webster. Casey Frank played major minutes. I think we would have been ok against the real greek team on home soil.

Lol yeah casey frank is a poor mans worthington without even a basic jumpshot. marginally better then absolutely useless... id take boucher a million times before frank even with his extremely limited offense

They just lost to Nigeria over night 74-66 at some pre-qualifying tournament.
Nigeria had Al Farouq Aminu of the New Orleans Hornets in their line up and lead the scoring with 16.

NZ need to finish top 3 in next weeks qualifier but thats going to be difficult without injured, Kirk Penney & Abercrombie.
They play Macedonia on Monday and Angola Tuesday.

Only the top 3 out of 12 teams will win a place at the olympics. tough (impossible) ask without Penney.

I thought Angola was already in as a perennial qualifier like our own Boomers. I hope New Zealand, Korea amd Jordan qualify. Just to boost our own chances.

Frank shot the three pointer better than any Boomer at the last worlds and last years Al Ramsay series - he hit 9 out of 17. The only thing that is useless here is your ability to research.
