Harvey has already signed, with Sydney?

Marc Howard on Twitter:

A number of big @NBL names not on Free Agents list as they were given permission to speak to other teams & have signed with new clubs
Those players include Cameron Tragardh, James Harvey and Ian Crosswhite - with their new clubs yet to announce their signing #StayTuned
Tragardh is a done-deal in Cairns, and every indication points to Crosswhite in Sydney.

Harvey - Sydney too now that they're without Bose?

Very surprised Tragardh to Cairns as you dont want him playing the 5.Who will play the 5 if Crosswhite goes to Sydney?

I would of thought Tragardh and Loughton play a similar position. So they would play without a legit 5.

Will be interesting to see how Tragardh fits into the league's best defense in Cairns...

Not convinced he is the right fit for Cairns.

no secret that cairns need to get points on the score board, may be a cheaper option than buying a 20 ppg import.
alex at 6'11" should be able to play the 5 spot.
certainly gives the taipans some scoring power....giving up a bit defensively though.

Top 2 teams last year had legit 5's.Playing Loughton as the 5 would be okay against most teams but its an issue against a legit 5. Also Loughton tends to be injury prone and he would get pretty beat up playing against a moose.

Trigger is more of a 'boof head' than Loughton imo, his defence (lack of) would better suit banging against other bigs rather than chasing around mobile 4's.

Depending on the match up of course.

Loughton is only listed as 6'9", and even that would be a slight 'stretch'.

I think he is pretty safely 205-206. He'll give up height to most centres, but then theyll have to guard him out to the perimeter at the other end.

Word is Cairns have another couple of signings to come though, maybe one will be a centre?

skull, Tragardh might not be cheaper than many imports these days, but he's a known quantity. Fearne might think he can put defenders around him to compensate. Crosswhite was a loss IMO and Loughton is still on the FA list.

Harvey is a done deal to the Kings. Should be announced shortly.

Loughton (and others) still listed as FA's, but Loughton re-signed before free agency started (actually an option that was picked up)

Anon - Cairns are committed to try & win a c/ship. Why would they go after Nick Horvath?
