my thought

this weekend..

Okay, so the weekends ABL games are fast approaching so which teams will come out on top ?? Men and Women - and I'd be interested to hear what people think the key match ups will be this weekend and should we be predicting any outstanding perforances by anyone?

My thought:
Central vs Eastern
M - Central
W - Eastern

West vs Norwood
M - West
W - West

Forestville vs Southern
M - Forestville
W - Forestville

North vs Sturt
M - Sturt
W - Sturt

Woodville vs South
M - South
W - South

Looks like I'm predicting most clubs to get a clean sweep this w/end. Good luck to all...

Generally i agree with your predictions.

Except for...

I think woodville men will upset (sorry Panther) with this new import. They have been playing solid together, and with a fresh face i think they will all play well.

I think Eastern will get the better of Centrals men. In pre-season they comfortable accounted for them, and have been playing good ball. Also have PG J.Goodenough Back. Will be close, and i think game of the round, with the Blue Army in full voice!

I think the key to Eastern vs Centrals is someone like Bungey who can very efficiently score inside and grab rebounds. Centrals are very light inside. If the game was at Mt Barker, I'd definitely tip Eastern, but the home crowd might get the Lions home after the loss last week.

I think Woodville will beat South who are winless outside of Marion.

Norwood haven't scored more than 90 points since Round 2 while West are generally scoring higher than 90 against mid-weight opponents.

I would be surprised if Southern get over Forestville.

In the womens games, a few teams are missing key players. Norwood vs West and North vs Sturt could both go either way and are difficult to tip. Forestville, Eastern and South should all get comfortable wins.

I've just seen a copy of this weeks Hang Time and according to BASA's information, Woodville's import won't be playing as his paperwork has not yet been approved, so that might even up that game a bit more.

The game at starplex this weekend should be a close one ... centrals have been unlucky to lose there last two games and could easly be 4-2 rather sit 3-4 which could be danger for eastern with centrals hungry for a win ... also they need to find a way to stop red hot jye watson which the abl elite has had trouble with doing so far this season my tip Centrals
