Cats v NZ GF Game 2

Great game. Perth lost game one NZ lost game 2 I wonder if Either will win game 3 or will one team just fail to close it out? Redage had his worst game for the Cats followed by his most important play all in the Same game. Martin looks injured and abacrombie cant jump of the floor. Cats by 2 in game 3.

How did NZ lose that?

Lets be completely honest who cares about the overall result at all? 2 of the most loathed teams beating up on each other, and what hype is there for this?

More than a few dodgey calls that went perths way in the last few minutes. Including an 'accidental' whistle that would've given nz the lead with 40 seconds to go

Thought every call went Perth's way in the last quarter. Case of not the best team on the day winning. But still, is an incredibly epic grand final series.

Wow...everything went Wildcats way in that last 5min! Hunt's 'inadvertent' whistle was a killer!

I'm still trying to figure out how the Wildcats won that. 1/18 from 3 point range, while NZ hit three after three all night, yet the Cats grit and heart get them over the line in a phenomenal team effort.

I've lost my voice, that block was just an unreal finish to an unbelievable game.

Bring on Game 3!

Hunts accidently whistle wasnt the only amazing umpire screwup that cost NZ this game. Blowing the Whistle after the ball had already been passed into Cedric who was on a 2 on 1 fastbreak and bringing them back so the court could be wiped down....WHAT
Unmpires had to much negative influence on this game, missed obvious travel calls (Redhage's 18 steps to the basket)

Hunt blew the whistle twice. Play should have stopped after the first whistle, when the ball was in dispute, and that wouldnt have resulted in Abercrombie being in possession.

Exactly right Skud- they could have wiped the floor once play was down the other end- which is usually what the court wipers do. I agree with thr previous point thag the wildcats do look more wounded- they would have been hoping to smash us to have heaps of momentum instead they limped over the line!! GO BREAKERS!!

Did they blow the whistle because they wanted the floor wiped, or because there was a few players tripping over each other, and when that happened previously it led to a small fracas.

so we are disregarding the 3 NZ turnovers in the last 90 seconds then.

No Muzz Buzz were not and they were pretty silly mistakes. But the umpires are not supposed to influence the win..and in this case clearly did.

After both games being so close, there is no doubt these two teams are the best in the league..

Looking forward to game 3, live on TV first time all season?

None of the mistakes the refs made were as critical and detrimental to the breakers than Wilkinsons tip in.

Sorry Skud, but Hunt decision favored the Breakers, when it should have been ruled a Wildcats ball

Not true at all mate, the ball is allowed to come off an umpire and the gathering player is awarded the ball. That sucks but that is part of the game, they would then have had a straight line to the basket if Hunt hadnt of huffed and puffed.

Sitch's point is that Hunt DID blow the whistle, meaning that the dead ball should then have gone to the Wildcats via the possession arrow. Not much point in playing hypotheticals and saying "what if" he didn't blow his whistle. (What if he hadn't been standing in the way of the ball in the first place? Lisch would have just collected it and the possession would have continued as normal.)

He had blown the whistle before Abercrombie gained possession.
