Country have a long shot at a medal if the cross overs go their way. Metro simply doesn't have a team to compete and NT and possibly TAS are the only sides in their group they can win against. Metro's stats suggest they took the wrong group or there were not the players available to choose from. The depth across state teams has fallen a bit too much and is a symptom of the district malaise where a lack of competitive games is retarding growth.All the better kids play in one or two clubs,have easy weekly wins and think they are world beaters.

after seeing how big some of those vic metro girls are in that age group no wonder they are doing well.

we seriously need to develop / target some tall female juniors that want to reach the higher echelons of basketball.

many years ago i recall sate of origin football game with justin maddern, the danihers, paul salmon etc
no matter how hard we tried we could not reach the ball for marking contests.....

should have picked the proper team, players are not happy with the way they are being handled by coaching staff either.

asked for some rest yesterday morning were told to train to go through offences, if after 5 months of preperation they dont know the offences then what the hell have they been doing

Forget the NT level and look at S A's girls and ask where the development is and what is happening at the district level. They are as bad to the top four as NT is to the group.
