Platinum/Gold season ticket sales ?

I've been gold for about 4 years but am re-thinking the whole thing ATM.

I note we have until the end of this month for the "early bird" 10% off sale for season tickets, but until the end of June to retain old/existing seats at full price.

Anyone know how season ticket sales are proceeding - particularly "renewals " ?

I see that seats in rows C,D and E are (now?) " platinum" seats - is that a new thing for next season - in which case has there been a "upgrade" in price of $300 for those seat holders ? Sounds a bit steep if so.

anyone already renewed >

Platinum has been around for a few seasons - ever since SOS consortium if I recall correctly. A mate and I had row E for a couple of seasons (not this season), quite a steep cost (~$660 w/parking pass).

They were great seats but hard to justify the cost.

stupid , just found the old 2010/11 price brochure Platinum was $660 back then ($745 now!), Gold was $320 ($375 now) Gold Family was $695 ($795 now).

Coach said back then " The league is heading in the right direction and the 36ers are building momentum to make a charge back up the table

With the support of a passionate and dedicated ownership group we are striving to lift the club back to the upper echelon of the NBL, with the vision being sustainable success."

Hmm , the less said about all that the better I think - but I note no quotes this time round.

I just hope the SOS remains for at least the next 3 years, so we can get to be good in 2014 and 2015.

Any way - whose up for next season ? - and do we know how the ticket sales are going ?

We only have 3 players signed up so far? Not enough to start a game?

Let's get a completed roster to generate renewal interest.

I'm 50/50 on if I'll renew.

The April 30 deadline is steep considering we don't have a full team yet.

My wife & I have Gold seats and have already renewed using the monthly direct debit option. As concerned as I am about their performance over the last few years, and about the need to save money, I am confident that they will get back to the top and I don't want to lose my excellent seats - it took us several years of upgrades to get to where we are now in row G!

I will go again with my tickets but I too was put off by the due date. Its so early, and they essentially want you to hand over the cash without knowing anything on the product you will see.

I mean give me some idea who is in the team. Who is our starting SG, or PG or PF no one knows at this stage.

Its just a little thing but it does rub people the wrong way.

I guess that's the risk you take for the discount. Suits anyone keen to buy tickets no matter who's out there and aren't fussed. I suppose everyone else will always have to balance that desire to save money with an interest in what the actual product is.

If knowing more of the roster wins out, then the end of June (or whenever it is) is another 2-3 months out and teams will have sorted more of their roster by then. Teams can't even start negotiating with other free agents for another three or so weeks.

Price aside, the team delivered little, the coach the same and we really never saw anything decent besides flashes of brilliance from a few select players.

im avid about the game, the reffing stinks and the entertainment provided has dropped. perhaps its time to sit this one out.

plus, could pay and get hit by a bus next week. pass

I am pretty sure that I will renew but not until the deadline to get my regular seat. The saving for buying it 2 months earlier is a false economy when you consider that the charge to your credit card will incur interest unless you pay it out every month or you lose interest in not having the money sitting in a savings account. At least that way you can also get the satisfaction of a better idea of what you are buying. I don't think its a case of the team not performing, you don't buy a ticket. I don't know about others, but this last season was quite boring for me. Going to a game did not generate the excitement it used to. Its not fun when you are constantly losing. If buying a ticket to the 36ers is for entertainment purposes, then the last season's ticket did not achieve that. Like some others, I just want to be there to witness the journey up the ladder.

I will be renewing my courtside seat and just hope that the people behind me DONT. I dont think I could stand another year of a young girl screaming in my ear every time we are at the foul line "Cmon you can do it ". That aside I love the club and a big believer that the hard times make the good times sweeter !

Pure Silk, trade you for my seats. We had a girl behind us who drove us nuts.
