Game 3 Breakers Vs Crocs Vector Arena

The decider, can the regular season champs get the W or are the Crocs gonna pull another upset in NZ?

I'm picking NZ to repeat history and take this one and head to the finals by 9.

Yep, Breakers to win, and another NZ record crowd for a basketball game! The Breakers have drip fed that well this year.

Never count out the Crocs, a very inconsistent team with some serious weapons when used correctly. Lots of pressure back on Breakers, so if the game is close down the stretch, and CJ goes back to being old Crocs could run away. Gill wont die wondering!

Look what happens when you dont bench your centre... Schenscher with 13 and 6 and sat only 4minutes... Crocs coaches screwed the pooch on that one in the 4th quarter of game 2. PC on fire, would love a underdog Crocs win.

PC contested the Abercrombie dunk and its unsportsmenlike? Thats a playoff foul in any league.

Pretty pointless hard foul on Abercrombie by Crawford, bad looking sprain. Can't see him being fit for the finals.

You always hear coaches demanding players make players earn free throws, if your athletic enough to make a play for the ball, as PC did, and make him shoot free throws, you do it. Fans were upset purely because he sprained his ankle, otherwise nothing in it.

Hope Perth can knock off the Blaze, and make a series of it. Hate Perth, but better they win it from here.

yes but kobe24, the game was gone, totally no need for that foul in that situation!

Crawford got bumped and banged all game and gave some back, not a dirty player by any stretch. Just hope Abercrombie hasn't wrecked his ankle

Could say no need for the dunk then either? Why show boat and rub it in? These teams dont get to the semis without having some self respect and balls, if there is a play to contest you contest it. Roles reversed, Abercrombie wouldve contested PC's dunk, thats basketball. Such a non issue.

Pledgers defense was impressive fullstop but particularly on Schensher.
Crocs unable to make the big shots down the stretch while CJ bombed away

Nearly a clean block by PC and no body in it.

Abercrombie was going for the nail in the coffin dunk, good on PC for making sure he didn't pull it off (legally and not unsportsmanlike). I was amazed that Abercrombie was fine to get up and hurl abuse but then couldn't make it to the bench.

Woolpert lost them the game. He should have earn't two techs and been thrown out. Refs screwed the Crocs most of the game with soft calls with nothing down the other end. He would have got the guilt calls if he got thrown out and the 4 game suspension would have put his team in the big one.

Gill played too passive should've taken more risks and it might have been close.
Crawford and Bruton were outstanding!

How did Mims manage to foul out in 11 mins? The guy is a great defender and doesn't use a lot of body, reeks of bad officiating.

Congrats to the Breakers, a great team, but I don't think I can root for them in the finals, Gary Wilkinson is just too much of a tool...

did not agree with the unsportsmanlike, def a foul though. Found it a bit funny that the ref only called unsportsman when crombie was limping off and was not called when it happened.

End of the day it didn't matter what was called, the Crocs season was over and possibly Abercrombie's also.

Watched the tape again and the the abercrombie play was clearly an unsportsmanlike foul. You simply cant foul a player from behind with nobody in front of them, particularly in a situation like this one.

No debate about it its unsportsmanlike. Calling it a playoff foul is a joke. playoffs or not basketball rules stay the same regardless.

Doesnt matter. Minamal grabbing of a players shirt on a fast break is an unsportsmanlike. Knocking a player in the air enough to put him off balance and roll his ankle is a sure fire unsportsmanlike.

I've watched it several times now and there was enough contact to almost knock his feet out from under him

Amazing how one eyed people are. IF he hadnt limped off, no one would even care. Crowd in NZ are uneducated and were always going to boo, which didnt help. Ridiculous to think this was a dirty play, he got ALOT of ball on that contest, good basketball by both. Atheletes competing in the air is what our game needs. The Abercrombie, 'plank' was a bit rough on the eye though!

dumb post Kobe24, you think that wasn't painful or that all the body contact wasn't a foul?

Yep, poor decision to jump into his body when he had not chance of blocking the ball. Not dirty, but a poor decision and an area the NBL needs to clean up.
