UNC Guard Kendall Marshall Wins Bob Cousy Award

Didn't see this posted on here yet, but feel free to remove it if there is already a thread on this.

Unlucky for Aussie Matthew Dellavedova not to win, but what a great season he had nonetheless. I'm unsure as to how the voting system worked, but would be interesting to see where Delly finished in that final 5.

"The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame today announced that Kendall Marshall from the University of North Carolina is the winner of the 2012 Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award. This annual honor is given to college basketball's top point guard and is named after Hall of Famer and former Boston Celtics guard Bob Cousy. Marshall is the third Tar Heel to win the award, joining Raymond Felton (2005) and Ty Lawson(2009)."

In my opinion I'd say Marshall is a deserving winner. Interesting to hear he was left off an all conference first team? I'm quite perplexed as to how the best PG in the country is not on every single AA first team.

He was beaten off the all ACC team by 3 of his teamates. No point guard selected on ACC team..interesting. He was very deserving of the Bob Cousy award, I know a lot of people on here wanted Dellavedova to win but Marshall was a step higher all season.
